Writing an Ebook
If you are an expert or passionate about a specific niche, than writing an EBook might be a great project for you. An Ebook is an
exciting and challenging way for you to educate someone about a topic that you are very knowledgeable about. Writing an Ebook is also very simple when
compared with authoring an actual book. Finally,
if your Ebook is good, you can sell it and make a lot of money from it.
We came up with six steps to writing an Ebook:
Step 1: Knowing you are ready to write an Ebook
If you have the time and are committed to putting all of your thoughts down on paper, than it may be time
for you to write an Ebook. However, there are a ton of Ebooks out there, so if you are going to do it, you need
to be ready to put in the time to make it a resourceful book. Most importantly, you have to have a specific topic
or niche that you are very knowledgeable and passionate about.
Step 2: Deciding on a topic and title for your Ebook
The key to your topic is to write something that you think will be helpful or interesting to people.
This must also be a topic that you can speak intelligently about. Also, you want your topic to be about
something with a market so that there will be interested readers for you to sell your book too. And again,
there are a ton of Ebooks out there so you want to be specific in what you write about. As for your title,
it should directly relate to what you are writing about. As we said before, there are a lot of Ebooks on the
market, so a catchy title may sound interesting, but your goal is to educate the user what your book is about in
your title. So, be clear when naming your book.
Step 3: Writing your EBook
Once you have decided that you are ready to write your Ebook, you must do your research. You want to get
as much quality information as you can into your Ebook, and research will help you in doing this. Make
sure you stay organized, so that your Ebook flows well and is easy to read. A great way to stay organized
is to write an outline before writing the book. The length is up to you, but the key is to cover your topic
without repeating information or providing useless information. You may want to have relevant graphics next to areas
of your EBook – this can make for a better experience for the reader. Make sure that you do your spell check and editing
after completing the EBook. Also, make sure to include all of the information you want to include. Because, it may be too late to go
back and edit your Ebook at a later date if it has already been marketed to the masses. So, with a focus on quality over quantity, we think that 20 - 30
pages is a good goal for the
length of your Ebook. If that sounds like a lot of pages realize that most books, and some Ebooks, are hundreds of pages.
Step 4: Publishing your Ebook
You need to use an Ebook creator to turn all of the text you wrote into an actual Ebook.
There is a lot of software on the web that will help turn you work into a professional Ebook.
So, scour the web for Ebook creator and Ebook compiler software and the software will guide you through
the process of finalizing your Ebook. Many Ebooks are created as a PDF document. When turning
your writing into an Ebook, we recommend creating a catchy cover with your title and neat graphics.
ebookcompiler.com offers a free trial download of their software. Or, you can try out
primopdf.com.
By downloading the primopdf.com free software, you can easily change your word document into a PDF Ebook.
Step 5: Selling your Ebook
Once you have completed your Ebook, you should have it in a .PDF format. Once it is in a .PDF format, you
can easily market and sell it on the web. You can create a simple website which has people pay for your Ebook
online. Once your users pay for your Ebook, you would grant them access to it. Or, you can sell your Ebook through
an affiliate network - so that other web publishers will promote your Ebook for a portion of the sales. Clickbank
is a popular affiliate network which you can submit and sell your Ebook through.
Step 6: Selling Private Label Rights to your Ebook
Once you have exhausted many channels to sell your Ebook on your own, you may want to consider selling Private Lavel Rights to your Ebook. When you sell
private lavel rights to your Ebook, you are in effect allowing someone else to market and sell your book on their own. You would not be compensated if and
when the person sells your book, so you obviously are paid more when you sell someone private label rights to your Ebook as compared with when you sell your Ebook
to someone who simply wants to read it.
